I’ve always wanted people to see, feel and walk through my paintings. The beauty and simplicity of this art has helped me to further explore and give life to the visions in my mind. Through my work I want people to live in my imagination, even if momentarily. This led me to art direction and making film sets which I consider to life sized 3-dimensional paintings. The gorgeous compositions around us created by the Almighty, including the emotions, nature and people, with its own inexpressible beauty, only made sense to me the most when I painted.
After an overwhelming childhood passion with water colours, my work as a painter was finally recognized with a state award at the age of nineteen. By this time, I was well aware of the fact that this had become an integral part of who I am. In the end, my passion and desire to create the things that nobody had ever attempted, is what helped me to be reach where I am today.
Since I’ve been an assistant to the renowned Production Designer, Sabu Cyril, for Nine years after working more then Fourteen successful films and more TV Commercials , my ability to creatively yet practically put things together has been acknowledged and appreciated by the finest in the industry. I have learned a lot in the past years, but the one thing that will always stay with me is the awareness that nothing is impossible – an idea that can originate in your mind can also be executed in any sort of reality, shape and form. As they say, my vision is geared to further take flight and to explore the unexplored heights in Production Design. To become what nobody else is, you must do what nobody else has done.
